Churching...
Overall, it felt good seeing old friends and communicating with God, something I haven't been doing quite often....
After all, typically in the Orthodox Church, the church year starts in September 1st (I think that this is a remnant of the old roman empire taxing season), so this is a good time to resume good habits. Finally, it is also the beginning of a new academic year, another reason to seek help and guidance from the 'guy upstairs'. (I just hope I get it!)

i have to admit that this surprises me, since you're one of the few people among my montréal friends that i thought go to church on a regular basis.
if you want to talk, you know how to contact me.
I guess this was (and in a way still is) my "feeling down" mood which sometimes translates to anti-social and anti-religious behavior.
i find that when i'm down, i'd rather go to a church where no one knows me. perhaps, there is another church you can go to there in montréal? is it possible to be anonymous in an orthodox church or do you have to introduce yourself to the community?
Oh, there are plenty of them and equally far with the one I go to. And generally, you don't have to introduce yourself to the community. In fact, (when I am in a good mood) I find this annoying and that is why I chose the church I go in the first place; because people there showed genuine interest in me.
So, I think it just my bad mood. Isn't it weird when feeling down makes you dismiss also places that can and do help you get over it?
that's the problem with feeling down: you're inclined to turn away from things that might make you feel better.
