To all my American friends

From the Decleration of Independence

Like a new Ulysses (Odysseys),I have set out for my personal Ithaka, and the journey to Ithaka is the exciting journey of life. This blog contains some of the stops of my journey. For all the noble readers out there I have just one thing to suggest: All Aboard! "As you set out for Ithaka hope your road is a long one, full of adventure, full of knowledge..." K.P. Kavafis(1863-1933) from "Ithaca"

Will these national holidays never end? (Just ten more days until Bastille Day...)
We have two major national holidays in Greece ("national" national holidays, because there are numerous other religious ones), celebrated in the end of October and March.
I don't think we never get tired of them, since as they don't happen during summer (that is time for vacation, of course), they are always welcomed as a relaxing and restfull break from intense ((!!!), I am being sarcastic now) work.
ooooooh, Bastille Day!
How are we gonna celebrate that one?
"Allons enfants de la patrie..."
